Been sick and no time for bicycling much less blogging. Oh well, no one really missed me. Anyway, here are some videos y’all need to watch:

I have no need for this gun, but I still want one:
looking forward to some good times this spring and summer. Hope to hit the trails this weekend.
Something, calls to me,
The trees are drawing me near, I’ve got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh.
Tuesday Afternoon – Moody Blues
Nothing like a good weekend bike ride to clear the head and rejuvenate the soul. I headed up to Auburn to take a crack at the lake Clementine loop on my rigid, single speed 29’er. Being that I’m out of shape and over weight it was harder than I imagined. I also made the big mistake of wearing my S works mtb shoes. These suckers are great for riding, but suck ass for hike a bike, which of course I ended up doing in substantial amounts. It was wind sprint to walk, to wind sprint to walk all the way to the top. My heal paid the price:
More photos in the post (and they are not gross).
Anyone up for Captain Bob’s 420 challenge? What is it you ask? It is a ride I have had in mind ever since Mr Phelps got into trouble. The details: meet in Discovery Park (Sacramento) and ride to Folsom Lake and back on 4/20/11 in 4 hours and 20 minutes (or less). The ride is 64 miles, so you need to average 15 miles an hour to complete it on time. I’ll make a flyer and see if anyone is down. It is on a Wednesday, so I might be flying solo…
My plan was, and is, to use mainly original content on this here blog, but I felt like I just had to post this video. These kids sum it up.
So, just what is this blog all about you may ask yourself? Well I started this blog for a variety of reasons. First off, it should be obvious I like to get tuned up (by attending “safety meetings” that usually consist of one viper) before I ride my bike. These leads to all kinds of good blog posts in my mind that never actually pop out for human consumption, but trust me they are good and I’m hoping to prove that to you now that I have an outlet. Another reason is that I feel like bike riders who like to drink are well represented in the bike blogosphere by sites like http://drunkcyclist.com/ , http://allhailtheblackmarket.com/, http://evilcycling.com/ and http://www.ritteracing.com/blog/, but us vipers… well not so much. To be fair Evil and Drunk have their occasional viper post, but I know Stevil of AHTBM is not really down.
Wow… only ten years of riding my bike around thinking about my “blog” did I finally start it. Maybe all those safety meetings really did slow me down.
